I've read about this before. It's not going to affect your workout and you might seem to sleep okay, but since it gets your heart rate going, it's a lot like caffeine. Your not going to go thru your proper rem cycle because your muscles and heart rate can't relax and you'll be more tired the next day. It's better to workout a couple hours before you plan to go to sleep, at least. Give your body a chance to calm down and relax. Plus, if your body doesn't get it's rest, your going to wear out your muscles to the point of muscle fatigue.

It's not really bad for you. For a lot of people exercise is a natural energy booster therefore making it hard to fall asleep right away. If you aren't having any problems though and can sleep through the night then do whatever works for you. You should eat a small something first though.

Working out right before you go to sleep can be bad because it increases your energy level. This will make it harder for you to fall asleep.

It's good to work out at least 4 hours before you go to sleep. This is good because after the 4 hours your body returns to it's normal state and this is when you start to feel tired and therefore making it easier to fall asleep.

It would be better to work out earlier, so you have some cooling off time. Not only that, but the workout should put you in a good frame of mind, so why go to sleep instead of using it to do productive things while you feel energized.

There's absolutely nothing wrong with this. I agree with the other person who answered in that you should really eat something after working out, especially if you're working out intensely.
