Alright, well, thing is, I have never had a boyfriend before. The guys just seem to ignore me. My friend says I'm really pretty, but I just don't get all that much attention from guys, cept when they poke fun at me. I used to not care as much, but I'm getting frustrated and feeling down since another Valentine's Day is aproaching, as well as my Senior Prom. Just wondering as to why I would be ignored by guys most of the time.

My young friend, life is difficult. Having a love in your life is a great thing - that is until it ends. It has been said that "It is better to have loved and lost, than to never to have loved at all." This was written by a Nit-Wit. The pain is almost too much to bear.

So for now, find a friend. Talk with him, learn together. Don't be too judgmental. There are lots of nice people out there. All good relationships are based first on friendship. In fact, my ex-wife still calls me her best-friend.

I was that girl in high school, I knew I wasn't unattractive but why didn't the guys talk to me. I found out that after graduation a whole hell of a lot of guys wanted to date me but thought I was "too hot" to approach. Pish...honey boys poke fun because they are nervous and don't know what to say or how to make conversation. I am short and heard about it all the time and I use to let it bug me until I found out thats why some of the guys liked me. I was short, petite, long red hair and nice so they didnt' know how to react to me. Next time your around the guys stike up a conversation with them about anything what their favorite sport is, who do they think might be the best team in baseball this year. Screw Valentines day, I don't celebrate it and neither does my husband we enjoy showing love to each other 365 days out of the year why should 1 day be any different.
As far as your Senior Prom goes; find a great friend to go with and you'll have a blast. Don't rely on a man to make you feel like a women or you'll waste away in self doubt and pitty.
I didn't have a boyfriend until I was almost 17 and now I'm married to him. You'll find happiness when you stop waiting for it to find you.

It's ok that you've never had a boyfriend before. Guys in high school tend to be really immature and they poke fun at you because they don'tk know how to do anything else. Give yourself time, because dating out of high school is much better. I didn't have a boyfriend till I was 19. Now that I'm 35 I look back at my high school experience and realize just how superficial everything was and I wouldn't go back for a million dollars. You're above that. Remember that when Valentine's Day comes around, and know that there is someone out there for you, if not now, later.

I can totally relate to this- when I was younger all of my mates would get guys and I'd be the single, the loner. I had loads of mates who were guys but none of them liked me 'like that'. So I joined air cadets and on my first camp met a gorgeous guy. I didn't even know he liked me. I guess, the less you think about it the more likely it is to happen.
My advice? get out there and meet some new people, flirt a bit, wear clothes that make you feel great, and try not to give out 'needy vibes' they really scare guys off lol. So just be yourself, sit back and wait for the cards to come through the letter box. And if they don't? Who cares? As long as you know that your great- you'll find your other half soon enough :-D

Well why dont you try and make some guy friends. Like find out what they like and talk to them about it and in a few months or even weeks I'm sure that you will have a bf.

you ever hear songs about independent women? they speak some truth in that having a guy should not complete you, you should already be complete by yourself. having a companion is great cos there's lots of fun in doing things together, but you've got to be able to live with just yourself too.
so don't be in a hurry to get hooked up. it'll happen when it happens.

ok. first, try actualy starting the conversation. second, try actualy, enjoy having that conversation. and then, get used to that and enjoy it. make friends, make good friends, make best friends, and then, get a boyfriend.

i changed the word "boyfriend" with "girlfriend" and it turn out well for me.
