The whole "drink 8 glasses of water a day" bit is an urban legend started by the people who sell bottled water.

Unless you are eating a high fiber diet to rid your body of toxins you don't need all that water.

Drinking that much water a day taxes your kidneys uslessly. Potassium is water soluable. If you are drinking all that fluid and not replacing your potassium you are a heart attack or stroke waiting to happen.

PLUS: water is being taken from third world countries causing draughts. Avoid bottled water like the plague.

DO NOT drink a big glass of water either before OR after a big meal. It dilutes your digestive enzymes which inhibits your body's use of the food you've just eaten. Leading malnutrition.

Go out and get yourself a few new cups. Make them your special 'water only' cups. Place one near your toothbrush at first. (I assume you brush your teeth in the morning without having to remember, so think "brush, drink water"). Keep a cup in the fridge as well, so that you grab that instead of a yucky cola. Good luck!!

do what i do, buy bottled waters at the store, and keep them in your fridge, and when ever you go somewhere, take one with you. And that will make you drink more water. Or, when ever you are thirsty, grab a water, instead of something like coke.

Easy, just drink the water from the shower in the morning. If you shower everyday you want forget to drink the water because it will be right in front of you. It works for me.

If you can handle room temperature water put water bottles all around your house or apartment...write on post it notes and stick them on your bathroom mirror, computer, fridge and tv. make or buy ice. I have found water more appealing when there is ice in it. or put a tiny bit of lemon or lime juice in your water, that gives it a bit of taste and is good for something different. I hope this helps!!!
