Okay first of all DVD Shrink is not misleading in any way. I use it all the time. You have to find the file that the movie is in. Once you do that you have to open it from DVD Shrink. Once you do that it will start playing really fast. It is going through and shrinking the dvd. Then you have to find the saved file and copy it to Nero or watever you use for copying software. Hope this explains everything.

As far as I know, DVD Shrink is used to make backups of actual DVD's or dvd files. The name shrink is misleading, cause Im not so sure you can do just that. DVD's are kinda weird, once they are taken off the disc, its like they have to be compressed to fit again on a disc. Its a copy protection of sorts. There are various programs out there to convert movie files. I would just "Google" video converter software. Its alot easier to put it on a disc that will play on the PC but not a DVD player( unless you have one that plays DivX, AVI, etc...). I personally think AVI, DivX, Xvid..etc are better than DVD. They are certainly a hell of alot smaller of a file, and the quality is as good, if not better IMO. I'm not sure exactly what kind of file you are dealing with, but If it's something that was downloaded I bet it will fit on a DVD as is, without having to use DVD Shrink. Look at the properties of the file and see what it is. If it is a VOB file, than it is directly from a DVD. Otherwise it should be able to fit allready, unless it's like a 6 hour movie or something. I hope this helps...email me if not.
