well ur parents will find out anyways if u end up having one becuase they always do its like instinct lol but anways why are u not allowed? in other words, what are your parents reasons? discuss this with them and if you really like this kid and he treats you good let your parents meet him and they will realize this, show them that you are mature enough to date and remember you are only 14, don't get too involved with a boyfriend theres so much life to live so don't let him hold you down. boys are known to do what they want so don't get too attached and make sure its a healthy relationship but really show your parents you are mature and with time they'll see you are responsible & trust your judgements...happy dating..

Maybe you and your parents differ because of what you each think the word "boyfriend" entails. Ask your parents to talk to you about what they think a boyfriend is, and ask yourself what you expect from someone in that role. Perhaps your parents would be more comfortable with you calling him your friend, and that might fall within the bounds of how you want to be with this boy.

It's better to have these dialogs when you're at this age. There's a natural tendency for you to become more independent from your parents at this time in your life, and that is a good thing; it gets you ready for adulthood. At this point, though, you probably have some more room to discuss this openly with your parents rather than trying to keep it a secret on the side.

Get them to tell you clearly what they're trying to protect you from. They have good intentions, and the more mature you can show yourself to be by talking about this with them, the more likely they are to treat you as the young woman you are becoming. Good luck.

Depends. Are you a responsible 14 yo, or are you an airhead? The fact that you would consider having a bf and think Mom and Dad won't know, kinda makes me think you might indeed be irresponsible and an airhead.

However, in case you are not, maybe talk with Mom and Dad and tell them you would like them to drive you to a show or at least have the boy over and have them meet him.

You'd be surprised how fast time goes by. Talk to boys at school. Maybe your parents will allow you to go on group dates or have a party.

The reason you are not allowed is because boys are dogs. They will do whatever it takes to get you to sleep with them and you are not mature enough to know how to deal with that. Respect that your parents have good reason for the rule.

You don't need a boyfriend at that age because all boys or men care about is SEX! They do not care about your feelings or your hopes and dreams. Wait until you are ready to handle the emotional ups and downs of a man not caring about you at all. Of course they will tell you what ever you want to hear to get into your pants then it's good bye's ville

I know it stinks, but your family is looking out for you. You have the rest of your life to get to know guys better and to find a special one made just for you. Wait until next year and talk it over with your family again. Believe me, your FATHER is probably terrified of you dating! He remembers his own behavior at that age and he doesn't want some guy treating you the way he acted.

You can, but you have to face up when your parents find out.....you can't hide behind the bush forever

and 14 is too young....in my personal opinion. I was 19 when I had my first BF (my older brothers wouldn't let me date) Don't be in a rush to get a boyfriend

You 're old enough to make your choice when it comes to this.
Look, our generation -I 'm almost 17- is definitely more modern than our parents'. Some of them have grown with their grandparents' principles =/. I think you should tell them you have a bf. They may punish you for that but in the end they will give in. You 're their kid after all; all they want is your happiness, even if they are overprotective.

You are too young, you're parents are right. Education should come 1st. never sneak behind someones back if you have to do that you know it's wrong. and what's in the dark always finds light.
