Please understand that I'm not trying to offend anyone, but I had a curious question. Is it possible to tell if someone is fat by talking to them on the phone? I've noticed that it may be easier to tell if a man his heavy set by listening to his voice but what about women?
I know my sister & my best friend are both big girls but when I talk to them on the phone you would never be able to tell.
Another friend of mine said she's been talking to this guy & she thinks he may be fat. My question to her is how can tell someone is fat just by listening to their voice? I know a lot of plus size men & women that you can't tell by that.

Okay, I am going to get a lot of flame for this, but fat people usually talk slower coz they're .... more laid back, shall we say. I used to go to class with this obese guy, and he spoke real slow and lazily.
His voice was also real deep, and he wasn't very tall. It must have been coz his fat amplified the sound. (Bear in mind, he was REALLY fat ... Very bulgey and squidgey)
In short - it's gonna be tough to tell ... I'm not sure if you can tell at all over the phone ... phones usually make people sound real different, any way. Fat or thin.

you can sometimes tell when a radio announcer is overweight.......due to listening close to hear heavier breathing.......that could also be due to having probs with breath control during speech though too.

honestly you cant. you can try to hear for labored breathing, but that could be caused my smoking or allergies/asthma as well. it shouldnt matter any ways.

usually,fat people's voices are deep and low.that's how you could tell(i guess)

if they are always breathing heavily--sometimes ovverweight ppl have a hard time catching their breath

umm...it depends...some guys are really fat and sound really skinny others are skinny and sound fat.
