You haven't very narrowly defined faith, but I'll assume it's belief in the supernatural. Between a false negative, and a false positive, there is not an equal survival rate.
In other words, we seldom mistake a mountain lion for a tree limb, but we'll likely mistake a tree limb for a mountain lion. (Or a shadow for a burglar, etc.) We attribute intent where-ever we see it. It isn't hard to imagine why that would be biologically preferable.
I think that's the cause of religion. "The mountain is spewing lava. It must be angry."

Faith and logic are completely opposite. Everyone exibits faith at some time during the day even if you don't think you do. It's just a matter of degree. Is the sun rising tomorrow? Are you going to rise tomorrow? Did Jesus rise? A large amount of people have given their lives to say yes. What they saw with their own eyes didn't require faith.

There are different kinds of faith and even different definitions of faith. That kind of faith which in only "I THINK it will" is man made and comes out of our desires for something to be true.
Faith in the God who created the heavens and the earth is given to us.
1 Cor 12:3
and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.
(from New International Version)
Rom 12:3
Do not think of yourself more highly than you ought, but rather think of yourself with sober judgment, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.
(from New International Version)
So: some is created by our minds and some is a gift of God Himself.

Real faith comes naturally by recognition of truth, logic also, you recognise the true way of talking, writing, acting.

Depends! Do you have faith in something that is illogical? That is man made. Do you have faith that the sun will rise tomorrow? That is comon sense and natural.

It's a human response. Faith is just belief without any evidence. Humans tend to believe what they want to believe. Emotions have a lot more sway in what we believe than reason and facts.

Faith and gods are both man-made constructs. When a child is born, it must be taught about god, and then taught to believe without proof.
