If you have a dependent child who lives in your home as his or her main home, and your husband has not lived in your home at any time in the last six months of the year, you might be "considered unmarried" for purposes of filing as head of household. See rules in instructions for 1040, for filing status.

You must file as married, filing separately. You're still married, but you've haven't stated that you have any dependents to qualify for head of household anyway.

You MUST file as married since you are still married. MFJ is better tax wise. Don't file as HoH or single. You will be in "deep dodo" with the IRS if you do. Don't listen to "duoak" because they are WRONG.
