Perhaps some people don't understand your question. Engineering is a profession of designing, creating, complex things or solutions. Different category of engineers work on different things, but in general they all should develop something i. e. machinery, chemical products, software etc. But since wee live in good old USA a person who sits by the boiler in school building is called "Stationary Engineer" is it because he dose not do anything, but remains “stationary” for 8 Hours or because every body likes fancy titles?
