I am wanting to buy a new vehicle. I am willing to spend up to $25,000. I want an SUV mid-sized, with lots of interior room as well as plenty of room in the back for groceries and etc.. (that is one problem we seem to have with our vehicles). I want ABS, side curtain airbags included, and something that gets good gas mileage... Based on this, what is the best choice for me in your opinion. It has to be 4 door, I kinda prefer 4wd (but it don't have to be), and it has to seat 5 comfortably...

It sounds like a 2007 Toyota Rav4 4X4 4cylinder may fit the bill. It is a full foot longer than the previous generation rav4 and has 40 percent more cargo and storage room. Certainly has enough seating for 5 average sized adults and with the new standards in safety, it has standard side impact airbags, side curtain airbags, antilock brakes, traction control and vehicle skid control coupled with electronic brake force distribution and brake assist make this one of the better values for the money if safety is high on you list of things to consider. Ha Ha definitely look into the Hyundai Tucson and Sante Fe, the Sante Fe has third row seating as well and the Tucson is an award winner from JD Powers for initial quality. And I'm pretty sure they both have side curtain airbags but goto the website and check it out.

You should get a Rav4. It has the things that you want (side curtain airbags, abs, good gas mileage) and some other useful stuff (like down hill assist and hill start assist) and side airbags is standard on every 2007 Rav4.

If you rally want the SUV go for the Toyota Rav 4 or Honda CRV or the Nissan Exterra.

These are totally 3 different companies but all are great. It is really what car you like in the end.

maybe go to usedcars.com for that price ,you might want to consider a low mileage, good used vehicle.you can get a better deal that way.also you can get a vehicle that's 1 or 2yrs.old that might still have some manufacturing warranty left.you can also check your sunday newspaper to get an idea of what used vehicle of your interest are going for.i have a Chrysler mini van and it's good on gas ,6cylinder,plenty of room and 4 doors.great vehicle and more room than a suv.you can get a good deal on one at your price spending.plus you could also get all the accessories that you want.cd,dvd, heated seats, rear a/c and heat adjustment, power sliding side doors, auto rear hatch opening,,etc.ckitout.

I THINK A HONDA CR-V OR TOYOTA RAV WOULD BE A GREAT CHOICE. IT WILL COST LITTLE MORE BUT YOU WILL GET BACK AT RESALE. HYUNDAIS RESALE ISN'T AS STRONG. BOTH HAVE GOOD MOTOR THE RAV HAS A V-6 AVAILABLE, CURTAIN SIDE AIRBAGS AND STABILITY CONTROL. LOOK CAREFULLY AT BOTH THESE MODELS.

I don't think you can get good gas mileage from an SUV, But I have a Ford Escape its smaller than an expedition but can fit 5 comfortably with room in the back. It is short enough to easily fit in the garage. good luck.
