My skin looks pasty and the dark circles under my eyes have increased. I just look dull.People have started saying I look tired.
I cleanse and mousturise twice a day and get 8 hours sleep a night.
I have a cold at the moment which is making it worse.
What can I do to improve my complexion, other than covering it up with makeup. I have a healthy diet but any specific foods/vitamins that could help? Beuaty products? Lifestyle changes?
Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi, im the same the only thing is i get told i look ill all the time when iam perfectly fine. I have tried all sorts but nothing works. If i use a fake tan or bronzer i think it looks stupid. Most people tell me to get some sun but i dont really tan much so theres nothing i can do about that, I find it hard also getting a decent foundation as our skin tend to be uneven and most foundations give me a rash So there is nothing i can do. exfoliating is good but we only notice the difference to anoyone else we still look pasty. God ive tried everything. The only time someone commented on me saying i look well was when i had my hair highlighted as this obviously brigtens up the face, but bleaching my hair ruined it then my hair started to get horrid So i stopped and went back to brown. People say vitamins help but i take them and they dont help me. Ive asked this question loads of times and people either tell me to just be who i am. Get some sun, eat more fruit and veg or use fake tan. But nothing works, even if i do get a slighly darker foundation it doesnt help.
Obviously you have a cold so this will make you look tired anyway. but in general, just tell people you are fine and this is the way your skin is and if they want you to look better then they can buy you all the beauty products and vitamins and veggies, because you arnt going to waste money on them because they dont work and you are happy how you are.

in answer to your pasty skin, don't just cleanse and moisturise. i was doing the same thing and i looked pasty too, and the stuff i was using was way too strong so i came up in spots. go to boots and find some good products from either boots own range or the biore range they do, i really recommend it as its quite gentle. also, get a product that has little beads in it, and incorporate it into your regime. this will exfoliate your skin and give you a better surface for cleansing and moisturising. also, don't use too much makeup, as this will only enhance the fact that you look pasty. choose a makeup that is quite pale, so it blends, or if you want to cover it up completely whilst you are getting your skin sorted out, i recommend the loreal infallible makeup range, as it covers EVERYTHING, but go for a really light one. (i know its expensive but its worth it) in regards to your eyes, i would suggest either cucumbers, or that gelatin thing one of the answers mentioned (don't remember the name sorry) but if you want something that gives short term results, put a dab of haemorrhoid cream on the dark circles. i stress this is just short term, so don't use it too much.

eating too many carbs/sugar will make you puffy. Drink 64 ounces of water a day, 80 oz if you exercise. I just started doing this and my dry patches have cleared up. You also cannot just cleanse and moisturize, you have to exfoliate - you are looking dull due to dead skin sitting on your face. You need a microdermabrasion kit or a masque with gritty stuff in it. This will buff away all the dead skin and show your new, fresh skin that is underneath.

I use Arbonnes Nutrimin RE9 anti-aging line. I really like it.
Its pricey, but you can sign up as a consultant and save 35%...

You could try a paper bag. This can be customised by cutting out your favourite actor/actress from a magazine and sticking it to the front. I found this worked for me. I get mistaken for Brad Pitt all the time in my local Tesco's.

well for starters,, you are getting poor circulations around the eyes. you need to find something for that. You need to use cucumbers on eyes at night.

eye cream really doesnt work.
you need to see a plastic sugeon.

you need to talk to one of those .

if you are sleeping well. use cucumbers. age doest that to some of us if you you need to see a surgeon if you are young cucumbers for sure..
you may want to get some circulation cream
not enought circulation
