In a few short words:
Remove the old top from the bows
Lay the new top out over the bows and check fit
Remove header and back molding pieces
Insert top under rear molding and secure
Thread bows through loops on top and fasten
Insert under front header and lower top into place while adjusting
Adjust, straighten, trim and tighten everything
Sounds simple, it is not for the weak hearted by any means.

Everyone's right, leave it to the pros! I bought one for my Stang thinking i'm pretty good at turning wrenches i can probably do it. I received it and quickly changed my mind. If you tear it your screwed even a little tear will become a large one due to the expanding and shrinking of the material due to hot and cold weather. You also can't install it to tightly or loosely but you do have to leave some slack for shrinkage. In my opinion it was worth paying the $250 for the installation, saved a lot of headaches, good luck!

Every ones right, I did my 67 Galaxie 500 conv. top in the front yard in about five hours and got very lucky. It went on and looked very professional, but it was hard and if i had to walk away from it i prob. would have had to take it to a prof. to get it right. Its worth the extra bucks to have it right.
