Okay, so, in respose to some of the answers..... I am not a parent, I don't do drugs, and won't ever. I wasn't looking for "substances", more like things like if sugar or things like that. Dialate, meaning pupils stay large, I know they enlarge in the dark. But, a friend of mine feels sick, she tells me that her eyes are very sensitive to the light, i assumed they were dialated. She doesn't do drugs or drink. What's the deal?

Any mind altering drug can change the size of your pupils.
Are you talking about when the lights hit your eyes, and the pupil doesn't get smaller.

I am believe that is alcohol, pain meds, barbituates, tranqulizers.

Speed/meth your eyes are like pin-pints.

One of the field sobriety test the Cops do is shine a light in your eyes to see if the pupils contract, meaning get smaller or remain dilated. YOU pupils dialate in the dark.

when the eye doctor does a full exam, he puts drops in your eyes to dialate them to use a bright light to look for defects, and such.

I'm not clear what you meant by dilate, or contract?

Good luck.
If you think your kid or minor is doing drugs, go to the drugstore, get an over the counter drug test, and start inforcing random drug test.

A good parent would want what is best for their child, and if drug testing is part of this society and a danger to your kid, do it.

We have child monitors for protection on T.V.'s and Computers.

I wish you the best of luck, and hope i have answered your vauge question to your satisfaction.
