Looking for a simple (if one exists) freeware program to convert my old Divx files to dvd format to burn them.

You can use Nero 7 free for 30 days :

Your DVD burning program (Nero, for example) should include everything you need already. Simply select DVD-video as the type of disc to burn, and import your DivX files. The program will automatically convert them to .VOB files and burn them to disc - just like it automatically converts mp3s if you select audio CD as the type.

Convert your DIvx/XviD files to DVD using freeware tool D.I.K.O. Authoring also inlcuded, while you can burn with DVD Decrypter automatically!
