Do they prefer someone who has volunteered, for example, all throughout high school and built Habitat for Humanity homes and whatnot? I don't have much volunteer experience, but I'm considering applying for the Peace Corps. If you have firsthand knowledge of the Master's International program, please contact me!

I hadn't volunteered at much of anything, 30 years ago; one summer in high school, one Saturday a month in college. I'd "proven" I could live in humble surroundings by working in US Forest Service camps during my college summers and living in a co-op during the school years.

What they really want to see is someone with skills that a developing country has asked for. In my case, I had a BA in English and Sarawak had asked for Engish teachers. It was a match made in heaven, and I had the time of my life, living on $110 a month, surrounded by jungle. At night the sky was like a swath of warm black velvet, strewn with a bucket full of diamonds - except in the rainy season. Also I worked 60 hours a week when school was in session.

I didn't do the MIP. Feel free to write via my profile if you like.

They want information. The stuff greater or less volunteering experience is greater or less as correct as that's for colleges. faculties declare they want nicely rounded individuals, whether it fairly comes ideal each and each of how right down to SATs and GPA, lots helpful in borderline events will they even look at something of your CV.

They need skills. The stuff about volunteering experience is about as relevant as it is for colleges. Colleges claim they want well rounded individuals, but it really comes down to SATs and GPA, only in borderline cases will they even look at the rest of your CV.

They want people with degrees for the most part. I tried volunteering when I was in college, but they said come back after I graduate.
