I am the wife of a soldier. My husband is in Iraq, this is our 4th tour. I am sick of people telling me they are sorry or trying to blame everything on President Bush. I believe in my husband, I believe in what he is doing. Why do you assume because I make a sacrifice for our country that I am angry? If he believes he is helping people(he would know he's been there 4 times) then I believe he is helping people what do I say to those ignorant few who want to discuss politics with me. I don't walk around saying you work in a grocery store that sells products with trans fat, why is your manager allowing this to happen, how does this make you feel? THINK BEFORE YOU SPEAK!! This is my way of life I find it noble and true so either stop talking to me or move to Iraq to help the Iraqis your way.

So Jen you think because you think a certain way everyone should bow down and agree? Not in America. The MAJORITY of Americans do NOT agree with you and while I do appreciate the sacrifice your hubby is making I frankly do not agree with the policy or the war.

I think carefully before I criticize, but once I have made up my mind I am not going to change it to agree with you or a small minority of people who do agree with you.

Your hubby is a brave and dedicated man but that does not mean the national policy he is following is fair, humane, correct, or anything but a personal vendetta and push to steal oil.

Thank you to your husband for his service.

As for the war, many people just don't understand who and what we are fighting. Some people don't relize that losing this war will make Iraq a breeding ground for terrorism. These people also don't relize that great progress is and has been made in Iraq, such as the last elections in Iraq, and finding out infomation about terrorism and planned attacks. All they hear about is how many soldiers were lost and how many were hurt. But the truth about this is, more people are killed in car crashes in 2 months, than in the 4 years we have been in Iraq. These people simply don't think about the facts.

She comes from the highschool Musical version of a thank you to be a President. the place being usual is each little thing. So, I replaced my strategies. turn-flop. through fact the flesh presser turns. the assumption is to stay the place you have faith the human beings decide to have faith. you are able to deflect alot of interest in a international in keeping with media mass merchandising and marketing like rapid foodstuff and Paris Hilton information is on on a daily basis. Iraq is now not a precedence. And the forged state of manhattan substitute into hood winked into re electing her in the 1st place. Then we've the Democratic hill with a clean resourceful and prescient. greater deflection. Politics as customary. chuffed 4th.

Because we are in an "Instant Satisfaction" mind set created by the media with it's Bleeds it leads mentality. When I was in Iraq it was next to impossible to get the media to cover the positive news (not sexy enough or would advance ones journalism career) that our troops do every day. They live in the green zone and have stringers cover the stories for them. (With no confirmation of facts). Then you have the extreme hatred for Bush that blinds the left for any support (outside the obligatory "But I support the troops" when they pound their chests with rhetoric)that would look like they align with the opposition. You shouldn't let them bother you, for it is your husband how is ensuring their right to a knee-jerk reaction.

We all owe your Husband a debt of gratitude.

dear god i agree.
this has been so frustrating for me too (my husband is over there)
people don't think before they talk. i've got cornered into so many stupid conversations about politics and the war that i've started being very blunt with people.
the one i hate the most though is when people ask me (a military wife) "is it true that what happens in iraq stays in iraq?". i almost hit the person who said that to me, no kidding.

Your husband is doing a noble thing by volunteering to be in military, and it is his choice. My father is a retired army man, he and my uncle served in Vietnam. I personally feel that we were mislead and lied to as a country, and that our troops have been put into harms way for reasons that aren't being told to us..But it is a volunteer military, and the troops and their families should always be respected in my opinion.

I have many opinions about Iraq and Bush, many of them negative.
However, since I've been writing to servicemen in Iraq, I've realized that they are doing what they wholeheartly believe is their duty. you can't argue with that. So I keep writing and keep sending them beef jerky and socks.

Many Americans, and others around the world suffer from a common ailment.... diarrhea of the mouth... things just come out without them thinking at all.

you're both brain-washed. i don't support BOY-GEORGE, the war or your hubby. i really don't care what they claim their sacrifice was for, it makes no difference in my life. if he wants to go there and get all shot up and maybe half of him live but in a wheel chair with no way to use his man parts and u really think it's all meaningful. that's u'r choice. i personally thought that america should've let sadam go free. the poor guy did the best he could.
