There are many things that can cause gas. Most people pass gas up to 20 times per day. The problem comes in if you aree feeling bloated and passing blood with your stool.

Some medical conditions that cause excessive gas are:

1) Lactose Intolerance
2) Irritable Bowel Syndrome
3) Crohn's Disease
4) Pancreatitis
etc

Having lots of trapped gas, which can be very painful, can be from eating too fast and/or talking while you eat, as you swallow lots of air.
Also from eating 'gassy' foods that don't agree with your body.

You can keep a food diary and notice when you get it, what you ate, how you ate, track your bowel movements and describe them, note how much liquid you took in that day, etc.

Gas-X has helped me when I had this a few times.

If you mean it's more flaulence, or passing gas from below, it can be the same reasons of eating gassy foods.
Your intestines are moving things along, or you wouldn't be expelling gas, but maybe you need to drink more water to help the bowels move as well..
It's possible to have constipation and only gas or a little diarrhea, as those can go 'around' the a hardened bm.

Also, walking around or lying down doing a 'bicycle' type movement with your legs help expel trapped gas. Sort of like you do with a baby that has colic or trapped gas. This causes peristalsis, or the bowels to move things along.

About twice a week I use an over the counter MILD natural medicine/herb to help me 'go' and stay regular. It's NOT a stimulant laxative, and doesn't cause cramping, but makes things flow easily and naturally.

Research it on the web, and good luck!
Hope everything 'comes out' ok!

no, you are digesting your food. Foods produce gas and the average person produces a great deal of gas every single day. If you are having gas pains, you might want to try an over the counter medicine called GasX. It works quite well.

Mabye. It could mean you need to drink more water, or stop eating certain things, like dairy products. Go to your doctor and ask him/her.
