I have that problem too. I have tried lifting my arms up,leaning to the side and then work your way to lean all the way back. Also, bridges work too.

I got my biellmann a long time ago. That's a pretty good split; you don't have to make become better. Anyway, work on your half biellmann off ice, and when you get it like a foot over your head, your ready for a good biellmann! But make sure you stretch properly before you do it because it can strain your back! Try layback spins off ice to work on your back.

i have heard that's a bladegrabber isn't it? idk, just guessing. well, i can do that off the ice but not on...too hard. anyways i think u should do a lot of back bends...(bridges) then everyday try to put ur foot over ur head. try it with one hand, then both hands, then try to lift ur leg higher. i'm only in freeskate 6 so i haven't learned it yet. about the splits, do them on one side, then the other, then in front. do them everyday, and each time, try to get lower. u might also might wanna do gymnastics or ballet and just do regular stretching evryday.
so there ya go...hope it works! xoxo

bridges, splits, and straddle stretches are good.

And surfer girl, you must be thinking of something else. She is not talking about a "beoman" whatever that is. A biellmann is a move in figure skating. It looks like this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Lucinda_Ruh_1.jpg

Try plain and simple stretching, as well as bending back, chinese siprals while holding on to something, and such. Good Luck!

Doing bridges are great for a BEOMEN, not BEILLMAN. You do not spell it like that.

for splits, there is nothing like doing them a LOT. both sides. push yourself more each time.
