I went through 3 Chi Irons and had electrical cord problems with all of them (shorting out) after less than a year, one within just a few months. I switched to a Sedu and it is a MUCH better iron.

SEDU & CHI
I used to work part time at Visible Changes (NY) and that would be the top two hair straighteners... they last long (if you take care of it right) and they definitely do the job in a snap. i swear its like magic.. they are the majic straightening wands that every frizzy haired woman need... i wouldn't go for any other ones...
And just a suggestion.. after straintening your hair always put a hair protection serum... it keeps the frizz away and it helps with protection from the heat.. =)

The T3 Tourmaline Ceramic flat iron its made from 100% Tourmaline temperature ranges from 140-410 I'm african american and I live with my fiance and his family and his sister uses it she's (italian) and it gets her hair super straight considering her hair is wavy I also use it on my relaxed hair and after I blow dry my hair it's puffy and I just run it through and it does the trick makes it smooth and shiny I read about it on the internet after I heard Jennifer Aniston's stylist used it on her hair so as u see it's good for all ethnicities check it out

The CHI is good, but also check out FHI...You can find out for about the same price as a CHI and they are supposed to be better. But whatever you get definitely get ceramic or tourmaline.

THE CHi... i love it it works great on my hair my mom has this other 1 and it`s really good because it keeps down frizz but i don`t know the name.. they sell it at the mall and it comes in black and pink i hope tis helps!!
