Okay, so I just got my first tattoo yesterday! It was a WONDERFUL experience, it was painful at times, but nothing like I expected. I got a butterfly with a tribal design and pink shading under the tribal across my lower back, the tribal curves up so this was my idea, to flip that tattoo and get one on the top of my back to and connect the sides using the tribal to make a huge circle and inside the circle I want a pond with lilly pads and dragonflies and butterflies and flowers. I want it to be bright and unique. Any more suggestions or comments??

I understand its a lot of work and I will need to go back for a few sessions, but I am addicted after my first one. I can't wait to add on. I think it would add to the uniqueness of my tattoo because tons of people have a plain old tribal butterfly tat, but a whole pond scene would be rare...

I know what most people think of tribal tattoos, and believe it or not mine actually has a meaning, I didn't get the tribal because its popular or easy or anything like that. I don't care to get into detail, but just know the tribal has meaning to me, and thats what matters.

i think its great but like blair and the other guy i would skip the framing tribal on the sides either skip a frame all together or pick something else but sounds awesome and i dont unserstand why people always think we dont know things like its forever and it wont look the same at 59 and that it will be expensive and go back more than once why cant people say ok instead of listing negatives we ask for ideas not a list of the maybe nots we know this other sh!t so come on so thats my suggestion

I think it sounds great! Just make sure that you have some idea about how you'd apply the lotion to keep you tattoo looking good, I would hate for you to go through the time and money only to have a cracked and faded tat.

I can't wait to see it. With tattoos less is never more. Go big, good luck. Maybe instead of using tribal as a "frame" you could just make the tattoo "fade" into your skin. IE: no outlines.

i would skip more tribal. more tribal is always bad but a full back tattoo has so much potential to be wonderful.

You will keep it cool if you will stop adding new ones in wright moment and think more about maintance of such amount of complicated and colourful tatoos. If you will want more later I suggest rather adding new little ones on diffrent part of your body... some small (but unique) symbols somewhere arround wrists or legs. But first finish the art you have started :)

just remember -- less is more. if you get all that done, it will take away from the specialness and uniqueness of your first tat.
