Okay, so i was looking around at pictures, and i found this persons myspace and i really loved how their pictures looked. Don't worry, i'm not asking about designing or anything because i know how to do that already. What i'm talking about is this:

See how the picture looks kinda stretched out? I'm wondering how to do that. I remember having a program that would let you sort of stretch a picture, but i don't remember what it was called. I could possibly be imagining the whole thing too. So can someone tell me how i could do this? I have editing programs like photoshop and photofiltre, so i'm not looking for someone to tell me to use photoshop, i want specific instructions on how to do this.

The person that can help me will get 10pts.

Thanks.

OK, if you have Photoshop, please select Image -> Image Size, and uncheck option Constrain Proportion. Then decrease width value and click OK. If you don't like the result click on Undo and go back to previous point.
This is the easiest variant.

Okay, in photoshop, open the image you want to edit and then go to "image" in the menu bar and go down to "image size...". Make sure to uncheck the "constrain proportions" at the bottom of the dialogue window that opens. If the picture is, for example, 220(w)x447(h), then change the heighth(447) to something larger (600 maybe). This should give you the desired effect. Hope this helps!

To stretch an image horizontally or vertically in Photoshop, you first need to select it. You can either press CTRL+A to select the entire document, or pick the selection tool (at the top, looks like a dashed line rectange) and drag it over an area. Then click and drag one of the four squares that appear in the middle of the four edges of the selected area.

Bah-bahn!

You can do it in html.

If you have a 100x100 picture and you want to double its height, but not width use an img src tag like below...

img src="mypicture.jpg" width=100 height=200

There's a little application called Warp that lets you do that and more. It's kinda fun!
