Does state funded schools mean you get more financial aid?

State universities are funded through the state legislature. Private universities are funded through different sources such as religious groups. State schools are usually the easiest to get into and the closest to your home. If there is some way to live at home and go to college part-time, you will have a better chance of graduating without being deeply in debt.

Another thing about state universities is that if you go to one in a different state, they charge out-of state tuition, so it could end up being more than a private university.

I'm not sure about more aid, but I do know that private schools tend to be more expensive. Another thing to make sure of is if the school is accredited.
