...God IS Forgiveness and I am a child of God. Therefore the gift of Forgiveness has already been given to me...I just need to accept it. Once I forgive myself, I am allowing others to forgive me as well. Right?...

You explained it then asked if you are right...explain it again...and don't ask if you are right, and therein lies your answer. That combined with some of the other answers that have been given such as forgiving others unending...being altruistic and self sacrificing...you'll be off to a good start. May God forgive those who know not how wrong they are regarding His existence.

God has required a way for seeking and receiving his forgiveness. A person must acknowledge his sin, recongnize that it is an offence against God, confess it unqualifiedly, have a deep heart felt sorrow for the wrong done, and
have a determination to turn from such a course or practice.
( Ps. 32: 5; 51:4; 1Jo 1:8,9; 2Cor 7:8--11 ) He or she must do what they can to right the wrong or damage done (Mt 5:23,25)

Then he must pray to God, asking for forgiveness on the basses of Christ's
ransom sacrifice -- Eph 1:7.

More over, forgiving others for personal offenses, reggardless of the number of times involved, is a christian requirment ( Luke 17:3,4; Eph 4:32; Col 3::13)

God's forgiveness is not extended toward those who refuse to forgive others
( Matt 6:14,15 ) However, even when serious wrongdoing leads to expulsion of
( the wicked man " from the Christian congregation, that person may in due time
be accorded forgiveness if he proves that he is truly repentant. At that time all
in the congregation can confirm their love for him or her ( 1Co 5:13; 2Co 2:6
--11 ) However, Christians are not required to forgive those who practice
malicious, willfull sin with NO repentance; such becomes Jehovah God's
enemies. --- Heb 10:26 --- 31; Ps 139:21,22.

Are you a child of God because you asked for His forgiveness...or are you just expecting it without asking for it?

God sent His Son to die in your place...and yes, He will forgive your sin if you admit to Him you are a sinner and need His forgiveness. Then He forgives your sin, and forgets them as well. When you have done this, then you are a child of God.

It doesn't mean you won't sin again, but all you have to do is confess them directly to Him...and he forgives you...it is an on-going process. He already knows you aren't perfect.

Self-forgiveness is a different thing. We may do something that God has already forgiven, but we find it hard to forgive ourselves for...we may "hang onto it"....feel guilt for it, etc. which we don't need to do.. If God has already fofgiven it, and forgotten it, we need to forgive ourselves as well and move on. Sometimes people can really mess up their lives by not forgiving themselves for something. They need to accept God's complete forgiveness.

Allowing others to forgive you is usually when you have offended someone and ask them to forgive you...you are sorry, and you say so....then your relationship with them is restored....again a different thing.

Once you forgive YOURSELF, you don't have to worry about whether or not others forgive you. It is up to them to allow THEMSELVES to forgive you.

it is best for you to make the first move..because you will move on..irregardless of whether or not they forgive you..at least you did it first..it is part of the forgiving yourself for any offenses you may incurred with the people in your life. if they choose not to accept you..it is okay..move on..sometimes it is only time..you create the action, not them.............

Flawed logic, you can't prove God let alone that you're at all related. There doesn't seem to be any logical question in there, other than asking for our opinion of your thought process.
