I am a high school senior and am trying to figure out what I have to do to become an Earth Science Teacher (other than going to college and student teaching). What certification does one need? What other requirements do you need? What is the PRAXIS Test? Do I need to pass the PRAXIS TEST to be certified? Are there any websites that list the steps to becoming an Earth Science Teacher?.....Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

only people who have gone to college and received a teaching degree including doing student teaching can teach, unless you go to an "alternate" school. school run by churches might accept you, but the school would probably not be accredited.
