I will be leaving for Florida on my 21st birthday. However, we leave very early in the morning so I won't be able to get my license switched here in Illinois before we go. It will still say under 21 until 5/16/07 but it will have the date and prove that I am 21. Will this be a problem? Will I be able to get served?

Because your license is a legal documentation with your age verification on the document....you will NOT have a problem in Florida.

The law requires a drivers license or other positive identification, such as a military identification card etc., as proof of age to sell alcoholic beverages to the card holder.

Drink "responsibly" and have a designated driver! Florida along with most other states are "hell on wheels" when it comes to drunk driving!

Happy Birthday!

I think it all depends on where you are. I know that in Illinois some cities have an ordinance prohibiting the sale of alcohol to an individual with a red or underage ID.

you will be fine as long as the birthday is correct and says you are 21. Me and my friends went to coco beach Fla. Jan 1st and one of my friends turned 21 and she was served. so you will be fine. Happy Birthday!

As long as the date of your ID says your 21...your golden. Be careful and drink responsibly please.
Have fun.
