When I try to view a power point I get a screen " This file does not have a program associated with it. Create an association in the folders option panel" I tried to do this but apparently I don't know how.

PowerPoint is not free, and does not come with XP, it either is a stand-alone purchase or it comes bundled with Microsoft Office. You can, however, get the free viewer.

This allows you to view PowerPoint presentations made in Office 97 and later versions.

you need to go to www.microsoft.com and download power point viewer 2003 or 2007 to view powerpoint presentations, it is free to download
