from a previous question most christian approved that holyspirit already existed during Jesus, so if holyspirit already existed during Jesus time, then who is the another comforter?

John 14:16
And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;

Jesus here is talking about someone different than the holyspirit. Jesus here is talking about someone new different than the holyspirit, someone that the world still don't know him yet:

look carefuly at this verse, the words of Jesus:
John 16:7
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.

a comforter = someone who will come after Jesus to testify of him, and teach people about the law of God.

LineDance...,
no he didn't say that, but people who came after him said it because they can't find an explanation to it. and John has no right to add any words from his own into the Bible.

Why is it that Muslims insist that the Bible is corrupted unless it fits their strange way of interpreting things that we Christians know it never meant.

a comforter = someone who will come after Jesus to testify of him, and teach people about the law of God???????

What dictionary are you using? Consider buying another one.

We answered this question already. Obviously you do not read any of your responses.

The "another comforter" cannot possibly be Muhammad, since the another comforter spoke of by Jesus in this passage is a "spirit" that is to live "within you". Muhammad was a physical person of flesh and blood, not a "spirit".

The Holy Spirit, under the old covenant, was given only to certain people - the prophets - and only for a limited time. Under the new covenant, the Holy Spirit would be made available to all believers at all times. That is what Jesus was talking about.

I did answer this question before. Please note what else he said:

You know him
He dwells with you
He will be in you

You KNOW him".
It is quite obvious from this statement that the disciples knew the Spirit of Truth. As Muhammad was only born more than five hundred years later, it certainly could not be him. The next clause brings out just how the disciples knew him. At this stage we can see quite clearly that the Comforter is a spirit who was in the disciples' presence already

He dwells WITH you".
Where did the Comforter dwell with them? From various verses, especially John 1.32, we can see that the Spirit was in Jesus himself and so was with the disciples.

7. "He will be IN you".
Here the death-blow is dealt to the theory that Muhammad is the Comforter, the Spirit of Truth. As the Spirit was in Jesus, so he would be in the disciples as well. The Greek word here is "en" and this means "right inside". So Jesus was in fact saying "he will be right inside you".

You are a victim of your translation, my friend.
In the original latin (the vulgate standard of the Holy Bible), the term is Paraclete. This is defined both as The Comforter (not "a," but "the"), and The Holy Ghost (aka Spirit).

When Jesus was with the disciples on earth, He was their comfort. When He left, however, He promised to send the Paraclete to be a comforter in His place (which is where I think you are getting the term "another" confused).

This Comforter is the Paraclete, the Holy Spirit. It is not, I repeat, NOT any further prophet (such as people claim mohammed was).

Jesus was talking about the same thing: the holy spirit. During his earthly ministry, Jesus provided comfort for the oppressed. Before he returned to heaven, he promised to send the holy spirit that would supply additional comfort. That is why Jesus called the holy spirit "another comforter."

This is an easy one. Too many people get wrapped up in words. Jesus was referring to the "spirit of truth." Research the "Urantia Book" and you will learn about the "spirit of truth" and you will meet the real Jesus.

Strangely, the prophet Mohammed, comes and testify about Jesus and he has been sent laws, similar to what received Moses for His people... and many informations there about the law of God in the Universe and about ourselves. Coran was sent to an arab, in arabic, but for the whole human kind as written in it.

there is actual no grounds for concluding the "Helper" "Comforter" Jesus pronounced the following is Mohammed. Of the 5, 366 Greek manuscripts of the NT, not one unmarried manuscript incorporates the artwork periclytos ( praised one ), because the Muslims declare it will be examine. Jesus pronounced the Helper, the Holy Spirit, whom the daddy will deliver ( John 14:26 ) Helper grow to be given to his disciples ("you" v16 ), yet Mohammed grow to be not "Helper"," Comforter" grow to be to abide with them continually ( v16 ) yet Mohammed has been lifeless for 13 centuries. Jesus advised to his disciples " you understand him ( the Helper ),(v17) yet they did not understand Mohammed. He grow to be not even born till 6 better centuries. Jesus reported to is apostles, the Comforter, Helper will be "in you" (v17 ) In no experience grow to be Mohammed "in " Jesus' apostles. Our Lord affirmed the Helper should be despatched "in MY ( Jesus ) call. John 14:26. yet no Muslim believes Mohammed grow to be despatched via Jesus in His call. Comforter, Helper Jesus ought to deliver would not "talk on His personal authority ( John 16:13 ), while Mohammed continuously testifies to himself contained in the Quran ( Surah 33:40 ) Comforter, Helper ought to glorify Jesus ( John 16:14 ) yet Mohammed claims to supersede Jesus, being a later prophet. Jesus also asserted that the Helper, Comforter would not come "in not many days" ( Acts a million:5 ), while Mohammed did not come for 600 years.
