if you still have feelings for you ex then you should be direct and clear about what you want. If there were issues in the relasonship in the past you must move past these before restarting this relasonship.
However if you do go for it be prepared to be embrassed or rejected at this party. If your too afriad to do this then the relasonship is not worth fighting for.
Your ex has every right to want to move on and if they do not feel the same way as you it time to draw a line under it and move on.

Its hard really Ex's normally stay ex's but some times you just need to try again or see what would happen. If he want to try again and so do why not. Give it a go and if it does not work then least you dont have any regrets about it.

if it didnt work the first time it may not work the 2nd or third etc. you broke up for a reason!
