Anybody know how many books were printed?
How much wood it takes to make a pound of paper?

Also how much CO2 does a an average tree consume?

And what % of those who will read the book already agree that Global Warming is real and caused by humans?

None for the publication. Recycled paper. So there were trees cut down at one time but not specifically for the book.

The next time you walk by a vehicle that is running, put your hand at the opening of the exhaust pipe and see what you feel and how hot that exhaust is.

Then multiply that by billions, and know this a million seconds of time is equivalent to 11 days. A billion seconds is equivalent to 11 years.

Now that you see the relation of staggering numbers here, just think a little bit about it. This does not include the carbon dioxide that is being emitted into our atmosphere.

Then include all the factories world wide dumping more toxic waste into the air we breathe and the massive deforestation and destruction of the rain forest which converted C02 to oxygen, we are doing a good job of mucking things up for the future.

This is not rocket science it is obvious observation.

I saw the movie, and got the book at an appearance he had in Texas. The book is 100% recycled paper, so no new paper was used.

I already agreed that Global Warming is at a crisis level, and regardless of what we do today, I will be an old man before the trend reverses. Thank god he's using his popularity for a worthy cause!

As for the snipe who referred to him 'inventing the internet,' use your brain and learn what he REALLY said! With just a little research you'll find that Al Gore NEVER SAID he invented the internet. He said (and truthfully), that as a Senator, he chaired the committee that made funding the internet possible. Without that funding, the web would not be the free space we enjoy today, but would be owned by companies and heavily censored.

Of course the Repugnantan "Swift Boaters" had to twist the truth to make it fit with all their other lies and slanders.

What percent of all books printed is Inconvenient Truth?

It really doesn't matter that much. The concept is imporant. We need to change mindsets. It helps warn people about Global Warming. See, because the book was published, you are more concerned about our world now too. That's how it's supposed to work. And you didn't even have to buy the book to figure that out.

I have that book. I knew nothing about Global Warming and Al Gore explains it well. Also, I have passed it around to many friends and family members who were also uneducated about global warming. So I don't think that it's that bad! Plus, it says on the book that the book was made from all-recycled materials or something - I don't quite remember? Anyway, why complain when the movie and book have stirred a lot of commotion and really forced the issue into the public eye a little more?

trees are a renewable source, so who cares as long as they're grown sustainably (ie wooded area Stewardship Council qualified) i can't have faith this remains a "debate" for some human beings (climate substitute). i assume human beings do exactly unlike undesirable information... examine the record popping out of Paris this week. It ends any doubt, assume for conservatives who do exactly not decide to handle it no count what info is shown to them

Does it bother you that the Bush White House is censoring global warming scientific research reports?

The CO2 was never a problem as the plants have taken care of the problem for several million years. The report of CO2 increasing 30% is a lie. Where do u think our original fossil fuels came from. The air is continually recycled and also the fossil fuels.

Can you spell 'irony'? Did you have something to say that wouldn't waste our time? Quit trying to hump my leg and come up with something useful.

I bet Al Gore never thought about that. Gore should have just put it on the internet, after all he invented it. What a tool.
