No, but the Christians I've dated have not been red state Americans. Again, growing up in Britain it was just no big deal.

It depends on the Atheist and the Christian! Some aren't pushy.

Ultimately tho, it comes down to different world views. One based in "supernatural" and one based in reason. Those will clash. But if the people involved aren't the type to think about or discuss "those kinds of issues" then it works ok!

When I used to date godbots, they inevitably saw me as someone to pervert to their religion. The inevitable question would ask myself was, "If they lacked the respect for my atheism, what else are they going to disrespect about me?" After that, I stopped wasting my time on the godbots.

Now I stick to atheists, agnostics, and buddhists since the latter two (for the most part) deal with the real world.

Only when they try to get you to "see the light". I've only had this happen a couple times, though. In one case, I actually just got up and left after she threw my lack of beliefs in on a fight over me not doing her dishes. It was pretty funny seeing her change her mind and apologize when I walked out the door (especially because my mind was already made up to leave!).

Yes. It comes up but not tremendously frequently. Usually when you've done something they didn't like and they're trying to figure out if they can handle that on top of the fact you are an unbeliever.

I don't know. But I would think that if two people really love eachother then that would not be important unless they try really hard to impose their beliefs upon eachother. I believe that we should all respect eachother no matter what our beliefs and not try to make any one believe in what we believe in.
