There's NO way to make a sweeping generalization like this. There's a type of hairstyle that I personally think looks best of black girls and/or women, but it might be one that you, on the other hand, think looks horrible on black girls/women.
But NONE of this actually matters, because it's up to each individual black girl/women to decide for HERSELF what looks best on her. :) It really doesn't matter what the "majority" thinks, as long as she herself likes it. And that depends on many factors: her facial shape, her hair texture, her color preferences, and her length preferences.

That would be assuming that every black girl looks the same, a hairstyle depends on the girl not on a race.

I agree with the posters. Face shape plays a better determining factor of what looks good. If you are talking about weave though, pretty much the same thing. I think you should experiment and try different things and see what YOU like on YOURSELF. If you are getting extensions or a weave though make sure you like what style you are getting because if you try and style it differently you might see the tracks or it might look a bit off in some places.

Just like any other race - the one that compliments you face shape. Any beauty book that discusses this would have the "rules" for round, oval, long, square and the length of the neck. Once you find the shapee of the hair for the shap of the face it is you job to get your hair to conform. You aren't going to get the long silky look but extensions would give the same silhouette.

I like the box, from the 80s. it's a shame that so few african americans get the box nowdays. you can also go with the ghetto fro, like cynthia mckinney. that is always popular

i think for black girls they shouid wear small braids up to there hip length and if ur hair color is black then leave it black and if its a diffrent color then i perfer u die it black.thats wat i think will look good on black people.
