I don't have any problem with black coffee, but I was wondering if anyone had any good 'recipes' to add a little flavor .... For example, spices, hazelnut, etc. I add a little milk to my coffee, no sugar. Nothing big, something I could find around my kitchen to add to the brewed coffee. Any ideas?

Buy a small piece of cheese cloth or linen at your local craft store and put in any aromatic spice suggested or that you can think of. It will filter it just like your coffee filter and you reduce the risk of getting residue in your coffee. Even a small packet of spice wrapped very tightly in 2 paper towels works (I've done it, even to just brew coffee when I ran out of filters!). Cinnamon, cloves, ginger, allspice, cardamon, cocoa powder, even a bit of fresh ground pepper.

Other ideas:
Put a cinnamon stick in with the coffee grounds prior to starting the brewing cycle-- fantastic!

You can also get the Italian coffee syrups that coffee houses use-- you can buy them online or most of your local coffee shops sell the syrups they use. Not too pricey & great for guests too.

You can put a vanilla bean (score it w/a knife) in a small container of milk to have real vanilla flavored milk.

Put 2 chocolate chips in your finished brewed cup, let sit for a moment & stir. Also maple syrup!

Maybe a little whipped cream, cinnamon or cocoa powder sprinkled on top. Some people will even add the cinnamon to the grounds before brewing for a different outcome. There are tons of choices in syrups to change it up, I prefer torani syrup. You can usually find them in the coffee isle at your grocery store. Also what is called a cocoa cafe in some places is make hot chocolate but with coffee instead of water.

There are a number of cream type liquers that are nice - like Bailey's or Sheridan's. Other than that it would be a matter of tast as far as spices go - vanilla might be nice, you could try honey or corn syrup - be creative, who knows what you might discover

To use something around your kitchen now: vanilla, cinnamon sugar, chocolate chips, cream, bailey's, frangellico, amaretto.
To pick up at store to use: flavored syrups

Just a bit of salt. Can be combined with cocoa and cinnamon.

To get a very nice arabian touch, try cardamom.

Cinnamin, but you got to go with at least one splenda to make the flavor of the cinnnamin come out...

some dark priemum coffees do. I wouldn't suggest you try thrm unless you like coffee. And is you do try it, you might want to sweeten it up to your liking.

Five frozen Cranberries, before brewing an eight cup pot.
Let me know how you like it.
