I'm not hurt, but really angry. I called the sandwich shop I got it from and the manager basically said "Are you Ok? Well, you can come back and get a free sandwich." What recourse should I take?

Go to the Hospital - NOW! If you've ingested a piece of glass, you need to have it removed before it does real damage to your GI tract. It can punch through your stomach wall or the walls of your intestine - and then that's bad news.

I'm not one for lawyers, but tell the shop that you're going to the ER, and you expect full compensation for lost work, medical bills. They don't want to get lawyers involved either, so they'll most likely be more than happy to give you what ever you ask for - with in reason - if you don't get the suits involved.

Good luck!

If you arent hurt then just leave it alone. But do tell the owner or manager that you will not be coming back to the sandwich shop because that happened. They are obviously careless. What next? A needle in your free sandwich. Just stay away.

Take pictures. Keep the receipt. Keep the piece of glass. Remember the conversation (tone, [lack of] concern, etc.) Get a lawyer.

Good luck.

Consult a lawyer. Keep the piece of glass as evidence, and go to the dentist.
