They'll boil but some of the white might leak out of the shell and solidify.

yes as long as it's not a huge crack. some of the egg white will probably spill out, but that's fine. this is how my mom taught me to boil eggs...
first make sure the the eggs aren't fresh... like you picked them up from the store about a week ago... when the eggs are too fresh the shells are impossible to get off!...
get a large pot.. like the size you'd make pasta sauce in... place the amount of eggs on the bottom of the pot (1 level of eggs high). fill the pot with cold water about an inch higher than the eggs... put them on the stove and bring to a boil. once the water is boiling good.. cover with a lid... turn off the heat completely and set the timer for 20 minutes. once the timer goes off put them in a strainer in the sink... run cold water over them and cover the eggs with ice (the ice will make it so they don't stink up the fridge) they should be good for about a week or so in the fridge... just make sure to either mark the egg carton hard boiled or put them in a tupperware bowl so people in your house will know they are regular eggs and try to cook them... if you can't eat them up fast enough make egg salad the mayo and mustard will keep the fresh longer.

Hi,
some of the white will seep out, then cook, then seal the crack. The eggs will cook OK. My concern with it is the shell. Often times the shell has remnants of blood and s--- from the hen, and since the good stuff of the egg is supposed to stay inside, we do not wash those shells prior to cooking the egg.
Now, I know the water is boiling and probably kills everything, but I am not comfortable with that exposed white boiling away in the scum of the shell. I would not eat it.

Hi. It will probably still boil but leak out of the crack, but I'm not sure if you should even try. I've always been taught not to consume cracked eggs, since they're likely not fresh anymore. Try putting that egg in a bowl of water. If it floats, that means it's bad. However, if it stays at the bottom, then it's still good. Eggs aren't expensive. Why even take the risk of eating a cracked egg that could potentially make you ill. Just my 2 cents. Hope this helps.

They will probably leak out some. Mine did yesterday. Start with cold water, bring to a boil; boil for ten minutes then put on lid and let sit with heat off for 20 minutes. Rinse in cold water. Tap ends and roll around and peel under running water. The eggs I boiled yesterday were perfect no green shade on yolks just one leaky causality but it chopped OK.

Yes they will boil fine. The only thing that is going to happen is some of the white is going to spill out.

If it really bothers you you can just finish cracking the egg into the boiled water and poach it.

Yes, but it also depends on how large the crack is. The part that's cracked once boiled will boil with a white substance (egg white) outiside the shell.

Good luck hope this helps

Just place a few drops of vinegar in the boiling water and it will stop the contents from leaking out from the shell!
Hope this helps!
