The lucifer in Isaiah refers to the Assyrian king, he was supposed to be cast down and was refered to as the son of light(reference to the assyrian G-D).

--> that he will not be cast out till the end of days...

Are we living in the last days?

First Jesus said there would be people trying to represent him but changing the meaning of his teachings. Just look how many 'different' churches that say they are believers of Christ but how many follow his teachings?

Luke 21:7 - They questioned Him, saying, "Teacher, when therefore will these things happen? And what will be the sign when these things are about to take place?" And He said, "See to it that you are not misled; for many will come in My name, saying, I am He.

In the time of the End (21 and 22 century) Humans, MAN will change the Earth’s environment and cause the Earth to react violently.

Luke 21:11 - "and there will be great earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; and there will be terrors and great signs from heaven."

Why do people think that Satan has been cast out of heaven?

As Trk pointed out...

Rev 12:12,13 - Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time."
And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child.

Satan has many names:

LUCIFER (Isaiah 14:12), KING OF BABYLON (Isaiah 14:4), SATAN (1 Chr. 21:1), DEVIL (Matt. 13:39), DRAGON (Isaiah 51:9), SERPENT (Genesis 3:1), BEELZEBUL (Matt. 10:25), THE GOD OF THIS WORLD (2 Corinthians 4:4), THE PRINCE OF THIS WORLD (Daniel 10:12-11:1), FATHER OF LIES (John 8:44), ect...

Satan was casted out of heaven down to the earth. Read Rev. 12:12. He will be abyssed for 1000 years after Armageddon, then released for a short time and finally destroyed for good.
Read Rev. 20: 1-3

although there are many passages that refer to the devil as Satan, Lucifer, father of lies, a snake, a scorpion...etc. His fall from heaven is best described in Revelation 12:7-9. - "Vs. 9 - So, the great dragon was cast out that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world."
Also in Luke 10:18....

I don't know about the whole cast down from heaven part one way or the other, but I agree with you that name Lucifer referred to a Babylonia king and not what people call Satan. You will only find the term Lucifer one time in the Bible, in the Book of Isaiah:

In the original Hebrew text, the fourteenth chapter of Isaiah is not about a fallen angel, but about a fallen Babylonian king, who during his lifetime had persecuted the children of Israel. It contains no mention of Satan, either by name or reference. The Hebrew scholar could only speculate that some early Christian scribes, writing in the Latin tongue used by the Church, had decided for themselves that they wanted the story to be about a fallen angel, a creature not even mentioned in the original Hebrew text, and to whom they gave the name "Lucifer."

Why Lucifer? In Roman astronomy, Lucifer was the name given to the morning star (the star we now know by another Roman name, Venus). The morning star appears in the heavens just before dawn, heralding the rising sun. The name derives from the Latin term lucem ferre, bringer, or bearer, of light." In the Hebrew text the expression used to describe the Babylonian king before his death is Helal, son of Shahar, which can best be translated as "Day star, son of the Dawn." The name evokes the golden glitter of a proud king's dress and court (much as his personal splendor earned for King Louis XIV of France the appellation, "The Sun King").

The scholars authorized by ... King James I to translate the Bible into current English did not use the original Hebrew texts, but used versions translated ... largely by St. Jerome in the fourth century. Jerome had mistranslated the Hebraic metaphor, "Day star, son of the Dawn," as "Lucifer," and over the centuries a metamorphosis took place. Lucifer the morning star became a disobedient angel, cast out of heaven to rule eternally in hell. Theologians, writers, and poets interwove the myth with the doctrine of the Fall, and in Christian tradition Lucifer is now the same as Satan, the Devil, and --- ironically --- the Prince of Darkness.

You are incorrect on several levels.
1. Lucifer was an Arch Angel.
2. He led a revolt in heaven.
3. His name was changed to Satan.
4. he was never a man.
Also, one third of the angels who support him, were cast out also.

It's discussed in the Book of Revelation, and some claim that the "Day Star, Son of Morning, how you have fallen" quote from one of the Jewish prophets is a clear allusion to the devil's fall from grace (despite the fact that most believe it to be a reference to one of the local kings - probably nebuchadnezzar or something - I haven't really looked into the bible recently. Google "son of morning" and I'm sure you'll find the pertinent quote. Bear in mind, though, that this is strictly jehovist partisan propaganda. We, on the other side, have a more well-rounded presentation of the story. All the best, Lazarus

Ezekiel.

He will be cast into the endless abyss at the end of times. The lake of fire.

Lucifer was the music director in heaven... until he got a 'tude with God and wanted to be God.

Essentially what sin is--wanting to rule your own destiny and do things how you want.

Yes man, God said to Satan, get out of here, now you are bannished, but Satan said Oh Lord, Give me just a delay till the day they will be resurrected, and so he has been given, that's why he could enter the holy garden to tempt Adam and his wife.
