It was suggested that I do that 23 years ago, and, in trying to practice it, my life got a lot better. I admit that I am not an expert in doing so. Practice and perseverance are a necessity

Great point. We should have no regrets if we believe God forgives our past wrongs and if we believe He guides our lives. I'll have to wash my mouth out with soap if I ever say them again.

That statement reminder me of something the Williams sisters in tennis were told by their mother'Do not say 'can't''. (Put a scriptural way; I can do all things through Christ who strengtheneth me).
