is eating crackers and drinking water enough? i'm depressed a lot and when i get depressed i try not to eat. if i do, i can't stop. so i pretty much just don't eat. i want to know if eating crackers and drinking water will be enough. also, i'm trying to lose weight. what would be some good foods (that's NOT a bunch of cow food) that i can eat to keep a decent amount of energy in my body?

I would not advise just eating crackers; that would add up to a lot of carbs, not to mention your body needs other nutrients to survive. As an alternative to eating meat, beans can provide a substantial amount of protein into your diet, and yogurt is a good dairy product (or you could drink milk, either or). Another thing to try is to not totally deny yourself the things you like; if you do, you will most likely fail. Instead, try to set a limit on them, like perhaps, 3 items a week, whatever works for you. And before eating one, ask yourself: is this worth it? Can I wait until later? Am I able (physically and mentally) to eat something healthier? In addition to dieting, it is always a good idea to get excercise into your daily routine; nothing major is required. Even a half hour of walking will help you, as long as you put effort into it.

The best ever: fruits and vegetables.
Stop eating crackers!
You can drink water...there is not a problem with the amount of water.
Eat tomatoes salad with cucumbers, onion!
Eat fish, also!

Try to eat moderate everything you can...don't eat too much!

If you'll learn to have "a measure" you will not get fat!

And move, jog, ride your bike!
You can have a steak, pizza, spaghetti but ...not too much!

No it is not enough. It does not have proper vitamins and minerals for your body to function. You need to eat a balanced diet. Try eating lean meats like chicken and fish. Plenty of vegetables (any kind you like). Fruits and whole grains such whole wheat breads and pastas.

Find the food pyramid at the link below. It has helpful tips on what you need to eat per day.
