I had a cat that attacked the sofa. He was bored. Get Eddy something to play with. Sucking on something, like a finger, is generally associated with a cat who was taken from it's mother Too early. He sees you as Mom. He sounds pretty young, and given time should outgrow a lot of his problems.

He's FINE. Really. Just a normal, paranoid, neurotic cat.

I am not sure how your cat lost his leg, but the couch could seem like a threat to him.It may be the largest thing in the room or there is a scent present to him that he does not like.Male cats are territorial, even after being neutered. Some cats never love but you can try by giving him as much affection as you can.Find out what he likes by trying things like rubbing behind his ears,or his belly if he will let you.Cats love to be pampered, like getting a treat everyday. It gives them something to look forward to and to a cat, food equals love. He will forget about loosing his manberries,in time. But just know that cats can take a long time to get over any traumatic experience.Whatever you do for your cat,do it consistently, they need that.I hope that helps and good luck.

I am so sorry for him, try helping him in the adjusting process. He might be triyng to play with the couch or trying to get on it and not being able. Give him more toys and cuddle with him he is going thru a lot right now. The finger is because he feels he needs you to be there for him like a mother. He seems to like you a lot but just pay attention to details in his behaviour and you will see what he needs and give it to him, he will like that.
