Juice is full of calories as well. I wouldn't live on just juice. Your body needs protein or your hair will start falling out. Water is also important.

Long-term juicing won't cause you to lose any more or less weight than any other diet plan, if that's your only criteria. The key to weight loss is to take in fewer calories than you burn. Though juicing is a great way to get an assortment of vitamins, you need to remember that juice contains calories as well as any other food you would eat. If you're making fruit juice, the caloric intake may actually be relatively high--fructose is sugar, and sugar is calories.

If weight loss is your goal, I'd recommend starting by examining the foods you eat on a daily basis and tallying up your total caloric intake. Identify things you can cut back on, such as sweets. Switch to diet soda, reduce your intake of refined sugar, and try to get that caloric intake down as far as possible without sacrificing a balanced diet. Then increase your amount of exercise to increase the amount of calories you burn in a day.

Less calories eaten + more calories burned = weight loss.

Yes. Longterm juicing will cause you to lose a lot of weight. Most any liquid diet will (except for milk shakes!!:-) because liquid passing through the intenstines quicker than solids promoting a quicker expulsion of intake. Juicing however, is not a good and healthy way to develop longterm weight loss goals. You may lose a lot of weight but without developing proper eating habits once you go back to solids the weight will come back.

It will cause you to get through a lot of fruit.

And you will lose weight, especially if you don't eat or drink anything while you're juicing.
