Get tested immediately, then do follow up testing at 3 months and 6 months. If ANYTHING comes up questionable, do another at 1 year.

The tests they have today are very accurate, and if nothing is found within 6 months, you are usually clear.

Next time, please use protection.

The HIV virus can take up to 3 months to show up in tests. (unless theyve improved the testing lately) You can have a test as soon as you like, but you should have a second one after three months to get a definite anwer.

I was thinking it was immediately, to establish you were negative to begin with, then 3 months, and again at 6 months afterwards. Think that is how they do it with rape victims anyway.
