God gave us hearts and brains. We do not "need" Jesus to know these things - they are built-in.
What you do need to know is the deeper message that Scripture has for you. "love thy neighbor", "be baptized", "be kind" - these things are baby Christian things. Sure they are beautiful, and I don't mean to take from them, but for Gods sake at some point a person of faith has to grow up and learn the deeper messages in the Word. The rabbit hole goes far deeper than even many church-going Christians know. Scriptures tell us what happened BEFORE Adam and Eve. It tells us there was an earth age before this one, and why a great war started, and that this war is still on today. There is alot of real important information in those pages. You are right, though, anyone, even an athiest knows how to love thy neighbor. That should be a blatent lesson to any Christians who do not know the deeper messages contained in the Word.

Who says we need Jesus to know that we love one another? That is not what faith is all about. Why doesnt anybody get it? No wonder there are so many faithless people, atheists, now days. No wonder kids think life is one big video game and when you shoot someone they'll just get up and continue the game. People Open your minds.
Faith has nothing to do with Love, love is faith.
Life is not a game, Life is faith.
You can open your eyes, you see.
You can open your hearts, you feel.
You open your brains, you learn.
You open your minds, you know.
Existence is more than existing, more than being, more than seeing, more than feeling. Existence is not of the flesh, it is not earthly. Existence is energy, faith is energy. It is a oneness with everything, the universe, all that exists everywhere. There are more stars in the universe than their are grains of sand on all the beaches of all the waterways, that have ever been, on all the earth. Sand is one grain of energy, a star is one grain of energy, you are one grain of energy.
Faith is simply an awareness of your oneness with all that is.
Faith is understanding that all that is, has divine intellegence.
We have given this intellegence many names of which God is one. As God is Love, love is a cleanser of our self's. Jesus is that part of God that bear the burdens of our fluctuations.
Whether you have faith or not is yours to bear.
But like just like a light can be turned off and forever removed from the energy, so can we.

I do hope you find that which you seek.

I don't think we have to have Jesus to KNOW. When you do something for a fellow human, you feel good about yourself. 'Loving' one another is already ingrained in our minds I believe. However, the teachings of Jesus show ways to love one another that may be helpful for people. Whether or not you believe in God/Jesus, the ideas behind his teachings in the Bible can help people visualize ways to act toward one another.

GAY!

We don't. Hopefully, parents are raising their children to be respectful & care about one another. Jesus was a prophet/rabi/whatever. Nothing more nothing less. He taught a good lesson that reenforced what should have already been there.

Technology is causing people to become more self centered. We don't know our neighbors & crime is on the rise because of it. Get off the i-pod, turn off the TV, & stop blogging. Speak to each other. Human contact is a great & wonderful thing. "All you need is love." - The Be-uls

You don't.

All you need is a sense of how we are all connected. Whether that comes from an understanding of quantum physics, Carl Jung, or Jesus, it all boils down to the same thing. Where you put your focus is what you manifest in this life. If you choose love, love is what you will receive.

It's good that you love all humans, but what good would it be if you love everyone, but you don't have the power to give them eternal life or heaven. Only Jesus has the power to give eternal life.

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only son, that whosoever believeth in him might have everlasting life. John 3:16

And without Jesus, you don't know the love of God. Like Jesus says in this scripture below that the word or scriptures of God is the source of love.

38And ye have not his word abiding in you: for whom he hath sent, him ye believe not. 39Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me. 40And ye will not come to me, that ye might have life. 41 I receive not honour from men. 42But I know you, that ye have not the love of God in you. John 5:38

15Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 16For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 17And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever.
1 John 2:15

People with Jesus in there lives doesn't guarantee the love of other human beings.....have you encountered a holy roller.....scary. Many seem to thrive on hatred, I think its because Jesus excuses all bad behaviors, up to and including murder.....

We don't.

For believers it is nice to have a role model, there is nothing wrong with that is there? Those of Christian faith believe that the Light of Christ (or conscience) was given to all men that they might know good from evil. The acceptance of Jesus is not a prerequisite for conscience even for those of faith.

I love humans, animals, plants, and all things alive. Do not need religion to make me love..religion seems sometimes only to separate when we should unite.
