My mom was cutting my hair the other day, and I wanted to have bangs. She made them, but they were way too short, like they were over an inch above my eyebrows and they looked ugly. Now they are beginning to grow out, and are still really short and my hair is curly so the bangs curl up and I look soooooooo ugly. I have been havin this hair for about two months now and I am sick of it. If I go to a hairsalon, is there anything they can do to make my look better or is there nothing anybody can do and I have to grow out my bangs first? Can something be done? If so, what?

1. Consider wearing a headband. Allure's Feb. issue has a good article about how to wear them and styles for this season.

2. Consult an experienced hairdresser and book an appointment according to his/her recommendation.

My hair is naturally curly. I normally straighten all of my hair, but even if I leave it curly I straighten my bangs.

Take a large round brush and blow dry them straight. Then take a skinny straightening iron and flatten them out. This will also make them appear longer. If the look good like this then leave them if not, take a small clip and clip your bangs back, you can even pull half of your hair up also for a more even look. Try toying with your straight bangs, curly hair and a head band.

Under no circumstances should you part your bangs down the middle and clip them to either side, you will have triangle shaped hair and look silly.

Also depending on how much bang you have, you can move down more hair to make thicker bangs and make them as long as you want to cover the ugly ones. They will grow out together and eventually after a few trims they will be the same length ( I did this recently when I chopped mine too short)
Good luck, I grew up with my gma messing up my bangs, I would personally fix them for you if you were here :)

Headbands are in, also those cute headwraps at places like Claire's that will probably pull back and cover all the bang part-- I have curly hair and I won't let anyone cut it but ME (bad bad mullet experience)! You might want to straighten your hair for a little bit-- your bangs will be longer & you'll have a new look! You could also part your hair in the middle and use little clips to pull back the shorter part. You will probably have to grow out your bangs before getting your hair cut again, but a hair salon might be able to style it in a way you are OK with. Don't worry too much-- I know it takes FOREVER to grow back curly hair, but all of us curly haired girls have had to go through this at least once!

Maybe you can try to use some gel or cream to style your hair. Try to be natural, the curly hair is beautiful if you help them.

But here is the technique to bang your hair, if you want to try: Use a big ceramic round brush lean forward and take the bangs on the brush rolling the brush forward as your dry your bangs. When your bangs dry use a shaping/styling aid to put them in place. Another way to achieve a nice shaped sexy bang is just before doing the front round brush man oeuvre with a bristle brush dries your bangs in the opposite direction that they fall. This technique is called over-directing and when your hair is semi brush it back into place.

When you do tire of them you will be able to grow them out evenly. If you went with a wispy style you could layer them and they would already have a little length to them. It's a win-win situation.

straightening IS a good idea, I would also recomend trying...straighten all your hair, then use a section of longer hair just above your bangs, hair parted to the side, sweep them across over the shorter bangs to hide, disguise them. This longer piece could be pinnen with a bobby pin. hope that I explained reletively well enough, questions please ask!

okay well if you want your hair to be straight and sleek..you can do it yourself with a flat iron.make sure you use a good flat iron and a protection spray or serum before ironing it..and for the bangs you can straighten them also and pin them back with bobby pins while theyre growing out..it will look really cute..alot of girls pin back their bangs.

Suicide isn't the answer - when you're extremely distraught over your hair, then you absolutely ought to flow to a hairstylist and ask their suggestion on a thanks to make it better effective. you ought to apply products mainly for dry, frizzy hair like shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner. per chance a clean coiffure will make you happier. in the different case you may also use products like mousse to form your hair. If the products you're at present utilising at the instantaneous are not extremely helping, then attempt another ones. I hear you on the organic and organic shampoo -some organic and organic shampoos can extremely dry out hair, it did to mine, so i ended utilising it.

like everyone else is saying, just straighten them until they grow out longer. When your hair is straightened, it will look much longer. you also have the choice of just puting them up in a bobby pin until they grow out. Good Luck!

get a flat iron and iron your bangs pencil straight... they will lay more nicely. If you can afford it, get your hair chemically straightened. It will cost you a ton of money but totally worth it. Been where you are... good luck.
