The bible is only infallible if it agrees with you. If it doesn't, you used to just write another book. After all, why do we need four gospels to tell the same story? Now, since the church said if you write another book you are no longer Christian, they just make another translation.

Others followed suit but lately some companies think that they know better then God what to print so someone get upset.

It's not that easy to translate from hebrew and greek to english, because the languages are written completely different, but there are translations that are better than others, such as the KJV.
