This is not right, I have on several occasions caught my male dog (he's big) thrusing above my very little male cat (both are fixed) and my small female dog trying to hump one of my other male cats. Why would they cross species like that??? Gay I can understand but this, this is weird.

Its just dominance.

It is very natural. Dogs hump each other as a form of dominance behavior. It has nothing to do with sex or being gay or cross species mating. It is simply a dominance behavior.

Males hump everything, even pillows and toys! It's a testosterone and territorial thing. Even when they're neutered they just don't give up! They act like they are the King and everyone else is their throne. They like the kitties cuz they are hard to get and are a real challenge to dominate. They can't help it - it's just their nature....

ooops, sorry, I thought I was on the relationship site..... :)

it's not that they mean o cross-species, they just do it because it's natural. It's no different then when a fixed male still tries to hump your leg.

It's not that they are cross breeding or gay you just have dominate dogs. They are establishing thier ranks - which they do naturally by mounting. It's weird and sometimes awkward but it is natural.

lol--we humans are soooo funny. here we go again trying to put human logic to animal behavior! IT'S NOT SEX, IT'S DOMINANCE---YOUR DOGS ARE TRYING TO DOMINATE YOUR CATS.
