I don't believe it is to old I think maybe a month or two in the freezer. But I have never seen it turn brown before, worried it is bad.

It turning brown is from air getting to it. Could have some freezer burn. If it doesn't smell bad than I think you would be safe in eating it. But if it smells funny from the freezer I wouldn't because even after cooking it will taste funny. If you have a dog you could always cook it for them.
If you freeze alot of meat, produce and such you might consider investing in a vacuum sealer. This pulls the air out and can even help in tenderizing the meat. Also helps protect food from freezer burn

it is probably not bad, but might be freezer burnt. most meats do not retain the "red" coloring once they are frozen. in fact, many steak houses purposefully "age" their meats - i.e. leave them in refrigeration without protective covering - wherein the meat turns brownish and supposedly the flavor is enhanced by a reduction of moisture in the meat itself.

I think that is just freezer burn. If the cover you had it in has a hole, even a small one, the air will turn the meat brownish.

It's probably okay. However, I have a rule about food; when in drought throw it out.

Uh oh. I would throw it out, if I were you.

Brown is not good on meat, might be spoiled.

If you even THINK it might be old, throw it out - not worth getting sick from it.

Meat is bad regardless of what color it is ! The demoniac people who work for the butcher industry put carcinogenic red coloring into meat, especially beef, and nitrites, to keep it from looking rotten.Eating rotting corpses is always bad, for everyone ! Women who eat meat have twice the amout of breast cancer as women who don't. Those are the Medical statistics, what to speak of all the cruelty and suffering that we inflict upon another living being. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you. There's plenty of protein in beans, nuts, dark leafy greens..etc. Its been 32 yrs since I have eaten meat fish eggs or chicken. Please stop !
