For me I am a solider in a future military. I am leading a small unite fighting aliens. Usually the aliens are overwhelming stronger. Most of the time everyone around me dies and I live. I feel like I failed them. When i wake up i am sad.

I think there's some area in your life where you feel like a failure. You should think about what is going on in your life when you have this dream.
I had recurring dreams as a child, but none now. In one I had as I child, I would smell smoke and see the house on fire. It seemed so real that I would jump up and walk around the house seeing if I could smell smoke.
Our house burned down when I was in high school.

Recurring dreams means that you have an unsolved problem,question or feeling in your awake life. Is there a fight in your life, family, friends? Of course you are sad, you failed in your dream and probably in something in your awake life. Try to find out more about your sad feelings of it.
I always dream about tornadoes.

I think you should spend time each evening before going to sleep visualizing as clearly as you can ... defeating those aliens and saving your unit. Maybe the dream will have a happy ending.

I often dream I am a Pt. at the Hospital I work at. I know I work there, but I can't convince anyone that I work there.
I also often dream of showing up at work necked, but I'm the only one who don't know that I'm necked, there is one supervisor who I encounter in this dream each time, it is when I encounter her that I realize I am necked.
The last recurring dream has me at work. I am doing rounds, I am down the hall, and I have a heart attack, I lean against the wall, and slide to the floor as I look back to where my co - workers are, and they aren't paying me any mind, and I think to myself,"I am gonna die here, and no one will notice I am dead!"

My dreams rarely are recurring. Most of them have a sex scene like James Bond movies....
Yours is alright. Would make an ok sci-fi made for tv movie.
