NO great empire can hold its place forever. If it happens i imagine it will be Japan. There technology is so much better then everybody. It is a great thing that they are out ally. I love JAPAN!
I dont think America will ever be far behind any one in the world. Our info structure and systems are already build. Everyone is catching up while we keep improving. I think in the end the world will be equal every where.'
In 3007 we will be colonizing space...... The lines between countries will be not very important

Every empire will fall. I don't think it's fair to compare America to Rome though. Rome was in power for hundreds of years. America has been a real world power for about 60. You can already see America declining in certain aspects. I'll be surprised if it makes it to 150 years as a world power.
