It just depends on what he did. You should support him as long as he didn't hurt someone physically or emotionally for no reason.

What kind of trouble? Speeding ticket? Shot somebody? It all depends on what happened and if you actually know if he is guilty or not of whatever he has been accused.

Or maybe he just got into a confrontation with the cops cause it happened in a very bad time for him? You would need to find out what is going on, and decide for yourself. And don’t forget to be careful and don’t end up getting also in trouble with the cops too.
