I heard that you could get rid of a planter's wart if you were to wrap duct tape around it and leave it that way for awhile. Is this true? Please Cite, I'd rather not wrap a piece of poisonous duct tape around my toe because someone said to.

I have had a planter's wart on my toe, and while duct tape does remove them that doesn't mean it will be fully cured, If you are worried about poisons, I suggest having it frozen off at the doctor, and that hurts. Otherwise you could use any over the counter wart remover with salicylic acid in it, Most acne products that go on your face and neck have that acid, It's less concentrated, but tit's there so it might be a bad thing? but most people live through it :)
There are things to expect when removing it. the skin will die and turn white around the affected area , and it should heal.
I wouldn't recommend the duct tape, maybe try Dr. scholls planter wart remover.

Basically, by wrapping it in duct tape, it cannot breathe. Also, I don't think duct tape is poisonous. You would be much better off going and buying some compound w. Make sure you buy the liquid and not the freeze off treatment. It will take about 4 weeks of applying for it to go away completely. I had one about the size of a nickel on the bottom of my foot and I used that and it worked. You just have to make sure that even if it looks like it is gone, keep applying for about a week to make sure it is all gone.

Duct tape isn't poisonous, so don't worry about it. There are several methods to rid yourself of a plantars wart --- usually on the ball of your foot.......

There are products that freeze them, and after the tissue is dead, scrape down with a razor, and freeze again. Or see a derm.... acid can be used that way as well... what you wish to avoid is a scar on the ball of your foot.--- painful to walk on if you screw it up.
