You need to consider:
1. your face shape
2. your hair's texture
3. the amount of time you are willing to spend on styling your hair
Bring some photos of hair cuts you like with you to an experienced hair dresser and ask for his/her input. A great stylist will be able to take the elements that appeal to you and find a way to make them work for you.

You can use Clairol's Try It On Studio. It is more for color, but they have different styles on there. You can either upload a photo of yourself or use one of the models that is closest to your coloring.

Try this one below. It lets you upload your picture and try on new hairstlyes, makeup, glasses...even new eyecolors. It's fun.
